Back in 2016, my wife and I started our gym called Fit Body Boot Camp.
As we started working with clients, we'd regularly get inquiries from older adults 60+ looking for a fitness program that met their specific needs.
They shared stories of how over time, they slowly lost their strength, weight increased and their stamina suffered.
The most common, though, was how their balance was starting to slip... leaving them with a persistent fear that if they were to fall that they wouldn't be able to get up, and how embarrassing that would be for them.
At the end of the day, their quality of life suffered and they had to stop doing all the things they once loved.
They needed something that we didn't offer at the time.
And although we could have thrown them into our regular high-intensity program, that wasn't the best option for them.
That left us having to turn them away, which broke our heart.
As we started to do some research, we discovered that:
❌ Finding a fitness program for older adults was almost impossible.
❌ Ones that did exist, did not meet the real needs of someone in their 60's, 70's and on.
❌ Some personal trainers existed, but trainers cost $500-$1000 per month.
So, we took matters into our own hands and created a fitness program specifically for adults 60+ that to solve this heartbreaking problem.
What happened next was truly amazing...
Within months a few people heard about us and asked if they could join.
Next thing you know, we had so many older adults inquiring about this new program, we had to change the expand our schedule and really take this to the next level.
